Download StreamEar

Install the StreamEar app on the computer running OBS

Go to the Download page and grab the installer for your system

Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux

Run the installer

It automatically installs the OBS plugin and the StreamEar app. Just double-click and follow the prompts.

Restart OBS if it's running

OBS needs to restart to detect the new plugin.

Using cloud OBS? (Belabox, IRLhosting, VPS) — Install StreamEar on the same server where OBS runs, not on your phone or home PC.

Copy your Stream Key from the Dashboard

Your Stream Key is shown on your dashboard after you sign in. Click the copy button next to it.

Paste your Stream Key into the StreamEar app

Open the StreamEar app, paste your key, and click Connect. That's it — you're linked up.

Listen on Your Phone

Open your listener link and start hearing your stream

Find your Listener Link on the Dashboard

It looks like: streamear.io/listen/abc123

Open that link on your phone

Works in Safari (iPhone) and Chrome (Android). No app download needed.

Tap play and you're done!

Audio plays in the background. You can lock your phone or switch apps — it keeps playing.

Pro tip: On iPhone, add the listener page to your Home Screen for an app-like experience. Tap the share button in Safari, then "Add to Home Screen".

Common Questions

I don't hear anything

  • - Make sure OBS is running and your audio sources are active
  • - Check that the StreamEar app says "Connected"
  • - Make sure your phone's volume is up and not on silent
  • - Try refreshing the listener page on your phone

The audio cuts in and out

  • - Check your internet connection on both ends
  • - If you're on mobile data, make sure you have decent signal
  • - Try moving closer to WiFi if available

Can I share my listener link with others?

Yes! On the Free plan, 1 person can listen at a time. Upgrade to Pro for up to 5 simultaneous listeners.
